Whiff of Joy challenge #76

I made this card using the wonderful sketch the very talented Bev created for the Whiff of Joy challenge blog. I LOVE sketch challenges! Thanks for the sketch sweetie xx



Anyone who visits my blog can see how much I love bling, I use it on almost every card! For male cards I usually I steer clear of bling (very hard to do for me, lol!), but not with this card. These 1001 night themed stamps CALL for LOADS of bling, don't you agree? I mean, Disney's Aladin did love him some shiny things, right? When I first saw this stamp set I started jumping up and down with joy, woohoo, finally an excuse to really go CRAZY with bling!! LOL! Even on male cards! A true godsend if you ask me. ;)

On the blue paper I stamped one of the background stamps with silver ink and I also stamped the sentiment 'You light up my life' with silver ink. Then I took a silver pen to put a dotted line around both papers and I used glossy accents on the blade of the sword.

The background is inspired by a tutorial I saw on the very talented Crissy's blog!
I took a long time, but it was fun to do and I like the effect it gives. Will try it again, hopefully I'll get better at it. Thanks Crissy!
