This week we want to see stitches on your card, now this can be faux stitching, hand stitching, machine stitching, whatever takes your fancy.
Our sponsor this week is 'The Glittergarden', and the prize you can win is fab!! This weeks winner will also get to be our Guest Designer for the month of June, so get stitching girls!
I decided to do a really PINK and girly card, I LOVE pink!!
For my card I used the gorgeous BG Porcelain paperpad. I have had them for a while now, but just couldn't bring myself to use them, they are sooo pretty!
When I saw this Magnolia stamp I new it would be perfect to use with these papers, I just had one problem, I didn't have a green pencil in the same shade of the green on the papers (not even one that came close), so I decided to pull out some of my Copics for the first time. I don't have any skintones yet, so I coloured Tilda with my Derwent pencils and used my Copics for the roses.
I didn't want to cover up to much of the beautiful DP so I didn't use a lot embellishments as I didn't think this card needed it.
As I don't have a sewing machine (wouldn't know how to use it if I had one, lol!) My stitching is faux, I pierced the paper and then drew lines with my white gelpen.
Be sure to go and check out the cards the rest of the DT made, the cards they made are all gorgeous!!
Papers: Bazzil Cardstock, Basic Grey
Stamp: Magnolia
Colour medium: Derwent coloursoft pencils, Copic sketch markers
Embellishments: Flowers; Prima, Roses; Ebay, Gems; Stash
Thanks for looking and I hope you will all play along,
xx
