Sketch Saturday #70 - Inky Impressions

Hiya girls, I'm sorry that I haven't been around much the last week, but there is a lot of personal stuff going on. Life's been crazy, let me tell ya. Ah well, that's how it is sometimes and all we can do is try and deal with it as best as we can..

Here is a card I made with one of the little 'Inky Impressions' cuties! This one is called 'Lili's stuffed bunny'. Don't you just love the way she's holding on to her bunny, reminds me so much of my little girls walking around with their stuffed animals, so precious..

I used this weeks 'Sketch Satuday' sketch for this card, but I flipped it.

I have two stamps to show you, with the first one I made a card.
Check out this cute little skating LiLi. Isn't she adorable?
I sure had fun colouring her in:

The second stamp I have to show you is 'Flower LiLi' and she is so cute. Look at her cute outfit and the pretty hat she's wearing. C-UTE!!
The sentiment is also an Inky Impressions stamp, don't you love it?

I made a wallet card for this cutie (with one of Tiets's templates). I put her on to a tag that you can pull out and I left some space on the inside of the card to write a message.
I think I was in a more is more kinda mood when I made this one, lol!

Inky Impressions Challenge #11 - Paper Piecing

I received the most amazing package from Nicole (Inky's mama) yesterday!! Some dutch stores started selling 'Inky Impressions' stamps after I let them know about the stamps and to thank me for helping her Nicole sent me an amazing package filled with stamps and other crafting goodies.

She told me that anyone that helps her out by getting a store to sell her stamps will receive such a package from her!! WOW!! How cool is that? So if you know any store that might be interested in selling her stamps, you know what to do ;o)

For everyone that's been asking about my daughter, thank you so much!! I really appreciate it, it means a lot.
Last friday we went to the hospital again, 'cause her cast supposed to come off, but when they took it off they decided she needed a new cast for another two weeks *sigh*. Fortunately she's already used to her plastered leg so she wasn't too upset. Her biggest concern was which colour to choose next, lol! Se went with purple AND white and she was quite pleased with the result, telling everybody how pretty her new cast is, lol! She's so sweet, bless..

Just Magnolia #16 - Distressing

We have another nice easy challenge for you this week - distressing, so lets get dirty lol. We want to see some inking, sandpapering, scrunching you name it as long as your creation has a Magnolia image on and some distressing.

I don't distress much, so whenever I have to do distressing on a card I'm terrified I'll mess things up, lol.

Well this time I had a blast creating a card with distressing! Inking, scrunching, tearing, you name it, I did it! I even stamped with some bubble wrap and stamped a border around the adorable Tilda image using my fingerprint! Yeah, I did look like a criminal that had been fingerprinted (and I still haven't gotten all the ink off of my fingers), but I had FUN!!

It was fun trying something a little different and it was the first time I've coloured an image in black & white and I had a BLAST!! Fun, fun, fun!

I used the sketch from 'Everybody Art Challenge'. Love all the layers! And I'm also entering this card into the 'Simon Says Stamp' challenge blog which also is distressing! (Love combining challenges ;o) )

Just Magnolia #14 - Buttons!

I wanted to thank everyone who has been asking about my little girl, it really means a lot to me and is very much appreciated.
Last friday we had to go back to the hospital and she got a new cast on her leg because they found out she has a hairline fracture just below her knee. She'll have to keep the cast on for another two weeks and then it will (hopefully) be healed.
She did learn how to stand with the plaster on and now she can walk around a little, she's so happy about that and so am I, cuz carrying her around all the time was killing my back, lol.

She loves the colour of her new plastered leg:

Sketch Saturday #58 & TLC228

Hi girls, thank you so much for the comments that you left on yesterday's post, it's truly appreciated.

The card I'm showing you today is another card that I started a couple of days a go and didn't get to finish until this morning. I made this card for the TLC228 challenge on SCS. This weeks challenge was to make a 'Stand up' card, and let me tell you, it's loads of fun and very easy to do! I think I will be doing these more often.
I used this weeks 'Sketch Saturday' sketch for my layout, love that sketch!

I used my adorable 'LiLi's birthday cake' stamp from 'Inky Impressions'. It's my favorite stamp at the moment, she's just too cute!

And some exciting news!!

Just Magnolia #12 - So charming..

Here's my Just Magnolia card for this week and it's a gatefold card! I saw the Roses on Paper challenge yesterday and decided to enter. It's my first gatefold card and it was a lot of fun, will do it again for sure!
I'm also entering this card into the Cute Card Thursday challenge blog, don't you just love combining challenges? ;o)



When I made the card last night I forgot to add the faux stitching (doh) so I did the stitching today. The first picture is one I took yesterday and the second is a picture that I took today. The colours on the pics look intirely different, freaky huh? Now, I know I ain't the worlds best photographer, but this is really weird, right? Guess it has something to do with the sunlight. The stamp I used is a Magnolia stamp that I bought recently, I love that cupcake, really looks good enough to eat, don't ya think? ;o)


I've kept the card quite simple cuz I didn't have much crafting time the past week, my little girl has been sick so she really needed her mommy! Fortunately she's (finally) starting to feel better and I'll have more time on my hands.
